Mariska

Today I made this card for a very sweet girl who is leaving. On my card I used my first magnolia stamp ever. On a white card I printed the 4 lilac squares. I stamped the magnolia and cut her out with the circle nestabilities. I added a bigger lilac circle and a white scalloped circle. I colored Tilda with derwent pencils. I coloured her eyes with a black glaze pen. The sentiment was printed on a seperate piece of paper and it says: Thanks for the nice time! The branch and flower are made with punches. I added a yellow cabochon to the heart of the flower.
I also made a matching packing for her present. You can give a gift coupon just in a envelope but I wanted to make something nice matching with the card for the gift coupon. So I decided to make a sour creme container. They are so easy to do and look really nice. The sour creme container was made from paper with the same lilac pattern. I rolled the gift coupons up and tied a ribbon around them and put them in the sour creme container.

At the top of the sour creme container I attached a sort of tag with lilac flowers brads. I started with printing the name Mariska and I stamped with a mini Magnolia, that I bought at Art Specially. I coloured her with derwent pencils. The wings were coloured witha clear spica glitter pen. I rounded the corners from the tag with a punch.

I left the bottom of the sour creme container open and closed it with a white ribbon. That way you can get the gift coupons out without having to damage the sour creme container.

Dare U 2 Digi Stamp 9 - Donna's sketch

It is friday and time for another fun challenge from Dare U 2 Digi Stamp! This week Donna made a sketch that you have to follow. I did an extra challenge this week, because I used colours for my card that I normally wouldn't use. I used an image form Sandra Dry for my card: Rosabella Ladybug. As usual I have coloured with derwent pencils. I coloured the wings with a clear spica glitter pen, but you can't see that in the picture! As my base I used a green card and added a green patterned background. The flower paper is fom Basic grey. I embossed the green strip of paper with the swiss dots embossing folder from cuttlebug.

Bloem

Today I made a really simple card. I cut a card with my large deckled nestabilities and stamped the whipper snapper flower on top of it. I coloured the flower with derwent pencils. Wit a punch I made 4 holes under the flower and weaved an organze ribbon through it. I coloured the edges of the card with a sponge with chalk.

Verjaardagskaartje

Yesterday evening I have made this card. I used for the card one of my favorite digi stamps from Christine Dark. I have printed the red lines and the sentiment on a white card. Then I printed the flower image and I added a layer of red papicolor paper. The red paper was a bit longer on the right and I folded it back over the image. I added some white cabochons and a tiny bow from white ribbon. The image was coloured with caran d'ache pencils.

En weer wat babykaartjes

Goedemorgen allemaal!

Good morning everyone! Today I am again showing two baby cards. For these cards I have used the amazing stamps from Whipper Snapper. The baby’s names are Bella and Jayden and I think they are so cute! For these cards I have used the traditional baby colors pink and blue. I printed the sentiment on my card and stamped the babies. They are colored with derwent pencils. I colored their eyes with a black glaze pen. In the gingham strip at the top of the card I punched two holes and added a bow for Bella. For Jayden I added a piece of the white ribbon. I made the button with a diecut from Quickutz and mounted it with foamtape on the card. At the other piece of gingham paper I used 5 flowers that were cut with the quickutz for Bella and 5 squares for Jayden. In the middle of the flowers and the squares I added pink and blue cabochons to finish of my cards.

Happy anniversary

Today I had some time to make a card for the Penny Black saturday challenge. This week you have to use buttons on your card. While I was thinking what kind of card I was going to make, I saw this great sketch for you to try on the blog of Jen del Muro. For my card I used a stamp from the Penny Black clear stamp set: Every which way. I coloured the hegies with derwent pencils. Then I cut the image with the oval nestabilities. The sentiment was stamped with a clear stamp set from Elzybells: Everyday greetings. I have cut the sentiment also with the oval nestabilities. I added two black hotfix stones as a decoration. I cut a trip of white paper with linen structure and embossed two lines at the edges. Then I attached 4 buttons on it. At the right side of the card I also embossed a line, but you can't see that really well.

I made this babycard with the sketch from the friday sketchers this afternoon. I used a stamp from Elzybells for my card. I have printed the green stripes on my card. The sheeps were cut out with circle nestabilities after the stamping. I colored them with derwent and koh-i-noor pencils and after that I gave them some fun flock on their bodies. So they feel really soft now. ;) I coloured the eyes with a black glaze pen. I did some faux stitching with a black fineliner on the green square and in the corners I have added little black hotfix stones. The sentiment was printed on a piece of green paper. The flowers are from a stampset from Eline Pellinkhof and I used foamtape to mount them on my card.

Dare U 2 Digi stamp 8 - one for the boys

Good morning everyone. It is Friday again and that means it is time for another challenge from Dare U 2 Digi Stamp. This week’s theme is: One for the boys/men. A real challenge for most people and certainly for me! :) I really love all the cute stamps and glitter, ribbons and pink. All kinds of stuff that you most of the time can’t use very well on a card for a boy or men. The timing of this challenge was perfect! My brother’s birthday is in a couple of weeks and now I already have a card for him! ;) This meerkat was perfect for his card, because he looks just like my brother: Always a smile and big friendly eyes. The meerkat is one of the fantastic digi stamps from my teammate Sandra Dry: Please take a look at her wonderful blog with digi stamps, she has been really busy with drawing some new images and she will post them soon! This time I used a red card as my base and I used some real scrap paper on my card! :) Unfortunately I don’t know what paper it is. The blue strip is the backside from a jeans scrap paper that I actually wanted to use, but when it was lying on my card, it didn’t look good, so I used the dark blue back. I colored the meerkat with koh-i-noor pencils. The eyes were colored with a black glaze pen. I did some faux stitching on the edges of the image. The image was mounted on a strip of red paper that I folded double. When you lift the image, the sentiment will become visible. I used my quickutz to cut two buttons out of the red paper and added a thread to them. I used foam tape to mount them on my card.

Forever friends babykaartje

I made another baby card last weekend and this time I used one of the cute stamps from Forever friends. I coloured the stamped image with derwent pencils and then I cut it out with the square nestabilities. I used my corner rounder punch on the pink square and I punched a hole in the white scalloped square. The beads are heart shaped. The sentiment was computer generated (Hurray a girl). I punched holes in it and added a white satin ribbon. Then the card was decorated with white hotfix stones.

Boefje

Ann has an amazing challenge on her blog: If you make a card following her sketch, you have the chance to win the new summer stamp kit from Whiff of joy. When I first saw the sketch I didn't get any ideas, but after some brainstorming I did manage to make a card. On my card I used one of the fabulous stamps from Eline Pellinkhof. She designs very cute babystamps, but now she also has a new line with Toddler stamps. She has written on her blog that there will be new ones for christmas! Real good news! I have chosen for the stamp with the little boy. I coloured him with my derwent pencils and I coloured his trousers with a derwent aquatone pencil. I coloured his eyes with a black glaze pen and with a white gelpen I coloured the dots on his cheeks. I added two minibuttons from my stash to his trousers. I used a white card as my base. The blue paper is actually wallpaper that I bought in a dutch store. In two pieces of red satin ribbon I made knots and attached them on the card. I printed the red striped panels. The circles were cut with nestabilities. I stamped the little boy on a seperate piece of paper and cut him out after I coloured him. With the Olivia alphabet from quickutz I made the sentiment. The circles on the white piece are actually red mirrors but you can't see that in my photo.

Baby moose

Hallo allemaal!

Hi everyone!
Today I have made these babycards. I used the stamp Baby Moose from Hanna Stamps on my cards. I think it is a funny stamp and a little bit different than the usual babystamps. As always I have coloured with my derwent pencils. I coloured the eyes with a black glaze pen. I used a red and dark blue card with linen structure as my base. I have cut a hole in them with the circle nestabilities. I printed the sentiment ( Congratulations on the birth of your son/daughter) on a strip of white paper. I added a gingham ribbon. I used a hole punch to make the white dots that I added on my card.
I have received this award a while ago from the lovely Caroline! Please go and take a look at her great cards on her blog. Because I get a lot of visits from a lot of people, I think it is really hard to choose only 8 people, so I am going to give the award to everyone who visits my blog.

A spoon full of sugar - Buttons galore

I made this card for the challenge of A spoon full of sugar. This week you have to use buttons on your card. I have gotten this cute stamped image from the lovely Heather. Thank you so much Heather! I think she is such a sweetie with the chain of flowers in her hair and her dreamy look. I have coloured the image with derwent pencils. Then I cut it out with sqaure nestabilities. I added a bigger square from purple paper. The white buttons are brads that I have bought some time ago. I printed the purple gingham on white card. I decorated the corner of the card with some punched branches and flowers. I coloured with a green caran d'ache pencil on a piece of white paper and then I punched the branches. I used black hotfix stones for the hearts of the flowers.

Happy birthday

Yesterday it was Kim's (from DU2DS) birthday and I have send her this card. For my card I used one of the stamps from the second set Gorjuss girls from Sugar Nellie. I coloured the gorjuss girl with derwent pencils. I colored on her socks with a clear spica glitter pen. In her hair she actually has a skull, but I don't like skulls, so I put a little satin flower on top of it. The heart of the flower was decorated with black hotfix stone. I cut the image with the oval nestabilities. On a white card I printed the pink lines and the sentiment. I cut a strip white paper. I added black satin ribbon and a little piece of pink satin ribbon. The card was decorated with black hotfix stones.

Moederdag

Mijn kaartje is vrij eenvoudig geworden.

Today it is mother's day in the Netherlands and offcourse I made a card for my sweet mum. :) For my card I used the stampset: Embrace life from Stampin Up. I am not the only one who really loves this set, but my mum also loves it very much! So it was perfect for a mother's day card. The stamp set was a present from my dear friend Angela and I am so happy with it!!!! My card is pretty simple. I used my circle nestabilities to cut a circle out a pink card. I stitched along the edge of the circle. I printed the sentiment (happy mother's day) and stamped the image next to it. I colored the branch with my derwent pencils. I made a little bow from white satin ribbon. In the corners I added white cabochons with my hotfix applicator.
This is the present I am going to give. I could have wrapped it up just normally but that is no fun. :) I did have some pink wrapping paper in almost the same color as my card and I stamped on it with the flower from the stampset Embrace life. With the JustRite stamper I stamped her monogram with a nice decorative edge. I cut the monogram out with my circle nestabilities. I added a bow from black satin ribbon and attached the monogram on top of it.

Darin's card

The challenge from Dare U 2 Digi Stamp is this week being sponsored by Postpals.
"Post Pals is an organisation that was set up to create smiles for children who suffer from life threatening and long term illnesses. We ask people to log on to send the children featured on our website ‘happy post’. When a child is very ill, often a visit from the postman can make their day. A cheery card or letter can make them feel less alone and bring welcome distraction from what they go through each day. I did make a card for this weeks challenge but I didn't want to send that one to a child, so I made another card with the same theme (gingham and stitching). I have chosen to send my card to Darin. The image is from Pink Petticoat and I coloured it with derwent pencils. I cut him out and used foamtape to mount it on my card. The gingham is real fabric that I stitched on the card with red yarn. I used 4 buttons to decorate the corners. The sentiment was made with the phoebe alphabet from quickutz.

Dare U 2 Digistamp 6 - Gingham and stitching

It is friday again and so it is time for another challenge on Dare U 2 Digi stamp. This week the theme is gingham and stitching. I really liked this challenge and all my buddies fromthe design team loved it to! Please take a look at their gorgeous cards! This weeks challenge will be sponsored by Postpals with an amazing price!!!. "Post Pals is an organisation that was set up to create smiles for children who suffer from life threatening and long term illnesses. I have chosen to send my card to Darin. I made another card especially for him and that one I am going to send him.

For my card I used one of the new sketch images: Oriental blossom from Christine Dark (sketchingstamper). It is a very beautiful image and I wanted to make a card with it immediately. I colored the image with derwent pencils. In the hearts of the blossom I used an amethyst hotfx stone. Unfortunately you can't see the real colour of the stones on my picture. It matches so lovely. On a white card I printed the gingham background and the sentiment (congratulations). I stitched on the edges of the frame and then I glued the frame on my card. That way you don't see the holes from the stitching on the inside of my card. In the corners of the frame I used white hotfix cabochons. I also made my card in the colour orange (I do not know if there is an orange blossom, but I just thought it was beautiful :)!!).

Ketto verjaardag

This is the birthdaycard that I made for Sandra, one of my design team buddies from DU2DS. For my card I used one of the stamps from the Ketto line from Stamping Bella. Maisy Ketto was colored with derwent pencils. Her wings were colored with a clear spica glitter pen. I colored her stockings and the dots in her hair and on her crown with a black spica glitter pen. The image was cut with circle nestabilities. I added a bigger red circle. On a white card I printed the black dotted background. On a strip of red papicolor paper I added some black hotfix hearts. The sentiment was printed and I used foamtape to glue it on my card. With a black fineliner I did some faux stitching at the edges of the red strip of paper. I also did faux stitching on the white circle. I used some little black hotfix stones on the red scalloped circle.

In the hobbyjournaal (a dutch crafting magazine) they had a mothers day special this month (Mothers day is in the Netherlands on the 10th of may this year) and I was asked to make a little mothers day bag for this special with the description how to make the bag. On a sheet of white hammered paper I printed the orange background and I folded the bag. I used two strips of the white hammered paper at the top of the bag (one is at the back of the bag). I cut the strips with a cuttingmachine I bought at a dutch shop. As my image I used a digi stamp from Christine Dark: Daisy crazy. Yesterdag She added some new pictures and they are really fabulous! So please come and take a look at her blog: Sketching stamper digi stamps. I colored the image with derwent pencils and then I cut it out using my nesatbilities. I added bigger rectangles from orange and white paper. I printed the sentiment three times (for mum) and added a black frame. The handles are from white satin ribbon and I used 4 orange brads to attach them to the bag.

The bag has two seperate compartments. In the first one I did a white card and in the last one I did some coupons with presents on them. For the card and the coupons I printed an orange frame on a white card. On the card I printed a sentiment (for my sweet mum) and left some space open, so I could write a personal message. On the coupons I printed 3 different presents: a visit to her favorite restaurant, a visit to a craft store :) and the last one is for a visit to a beautician. I decorated them with flowers from the daisy crazy digi stamp. I colored these with derwent pencils and cut them out with circle nestbilities and added an orange scalloped circle.

Dare U 2 Digi Stamp 5 - Sketch

Goedemorgen allemaal.

Good morning everyone.
It is time for allready the 5th challenge from Dare U 2 Digi stamp. This week we have a fabulous sketch from Sandra. I really love it and will use it again for sure!

For my card I used one of the amazing fairies from Sandra Dry. I had to make a card for someone that was moving to another house and I thought this image was perfect. I colored the image with derwent pencils as always. ;) I printed the dots on a white card. I cut two cirkels out of red papicolor paper and embossed them with the swiss dots embossing folder from Cuttlebug. I made a circle with the sentiment ( congratulations with your new home) and cut it out with the circle nestabilities. I used some black hotfix stones as decoration. I did some faux stitching on the edges with a black fineliner.
