Tutorial Carrousel-kaart

Hi everyone, as promised I will now give you my tutorial for my card from this morning. I made a lot of pictures when I made my card, so hopefully everything will become clear in the end. The quality of the pictures isn’t really well, because I made them in the evening when I had bad light.

Cut 10 sheets of paper at 9 by 18 cm. Fold 5 of these cards in half with the good side of the paper on the inside.

Glue these 5 cards together. Glue the back of one folded card to the front of another folded card. This way you get a little book.

This is another picture of the book you made.

Take the other 5 cards and draw a cross on the backside exactly in the middle of the card. Use the cross as a reference to cut a circle (about 5 cm) exactly in the center of the card.

Take these 5 cards and put them on the table with the good side of the paper up and make a mountain fold on 9 cm and 2 valley folds on 4,5 and 13,5 cm. Your card looks like this:

Dit is een bovenaanzicht van de kaart.

This is what the card looks like.

You can now decorate the cards in the little book (if you want to). I have drawn some clouds on one of my cards with chalk. I have cut a cloud out of a piece of paper and coloured it on my card with blue chalks. I have fixated the image with hair spray.

Now you take the 5 cards with the aperture in them. You can add double sided tape on the sides of the card (see the picture). Glue these pages in your book. Open the book on the first page and glue the card against the outer edge of the card. Go on until you have glued all the cards in the book.

Stamp or print all your images and colour them all.

Punch a little hole in all your images and add a little ring. I have placed a piece of sheet between the heads of the bunny and the girl. This way you can punch the hole in the sheet and that way the image will hang straight in the circle.

Use your punch to punch holes above the circles exactly on the fold. Now you can hang the images in your card.

This is what the book looks like from above.

And this is what it looks like when the card is closed.

Take 2 pieces of ribbon that are each 18 cm long. Glue these in the middle of car on the front and last page of the book. This way the book can be closed with a bow.

I forgot to take pictures of how I made the cover for the book. Take a piece of paper from 9 by 20 cm for the cover. Start with attaching the cover to the front of the book (Don’t do the backside at this moment!). Now carefully fold the cover to the back and then glue it on the back of the book. Maybe you have to cut a strip from the cover because it is too long.
